Do air conditioners use water?

As a coolant, modern air conditioners do not use water. They use a chemical called R-410A which is meant to replace Freon.

It is however, normal for an AC to drip water as during compression the water conditions under the high pressure make it such that the boiling point is much higher thus turning the water vapour into due-like water which is then discharged by your AC.
